At A43, we believe luxury design means crafting beautiful homes that are custom-tailored to the homeowners’ specific needs. And we know that fitness and overall wellness are important to many people, especially in active mountain towns like Jackson.
That’s why we’re so excited to partner with Fitness Design Group on an upcoming project. This team of designers works exclusively in the fitness and wellness space.
We can’t reveal too much about our partnership just yet, but Founder and Managing Director Bryan Green was generous enough to share some of his wisdom and philosophy with us.
For years, Fitness Design Group has crafted beautiful fitness facilities from luxury hotel giants like Hilton and the Four Seasons, to leading health clubs and boutique studios globally. But as home fitness has grown in popularity in recent years, so too has their work crafting highly appointed home wellness spaces.

Fitness Design Group works with architects and designers like us to create fully custom spaces that blend perfectly into the home. Their home gyms are as beautiful as they are functional.
“Our joy is building around the unique needs for whoever will spend time in that space,” Green shared. “Something that becomes truly their tailored space and program.”
There are all sorts of things to consider when designing a home gym: where will it fit in the home? Will it be part of the home, or in a detached space like a garage or a shed? Is this the homeowner’s primary home, or vacation home? And most importantly, who will use the space, and what are their fitness goals?
Some spaces may be highly specific to a certain activity, like golf training for staying sharp in the cold winter months. Others may prioritize general wellness and recovery and include things like temperature therapies (saunas, ice baths, etc.) and mobility stations. No matter the use case, Green said the goal is to create a space people actually want to spend time in.
“The experience is really the outcome we’re looking to back into while fundamentally addressing, of course, functionality first,” Green said. “Exercise quality has also to do with the energy one puts out… Building an experience to motivate and inspire daily training rituals is often the biggest advantage of including a thoughtfully appointed gym in the home.”
“Convenience, of course, is another as time is precious and exercise for many today is not optional,” Green added.

Home gyms offer specialization, convenience, privacy and serenity. There’s something special about exercising and practicing self care in a space designed specifically for you.
“A home gym is commonly looked at today as being essential for family health, not just for a good workout,” Green said. “They’re another opportunity for families to be and stay well together”
We’re so excited to work with Fitness Design Group and learn more about all of the possibilities of home gym design.
